On the WordPress Weekly podcast, we generally always have a WordPress related trivia question each week. This was meant to be education and for a bit of fun. However, I’ve decided to turn this segment into a game. Here is how it works.
How To Play:
The trivia question will be published in the shownotes of the WordPress Weekly podcast after it airs live on Tuesday evenings at 8PM eastern time. The shownotes are published whenever I write them so it could be right after the show, the day after or two days after. In any case, the first three people to provide the correct answer to the trivia question will receive points.
- Be the first to get it right and earn – 3 points
- Be the second to get it right and earn – 2 points
- Be the third to get it right and earn – 1 point
There will be other methods of earning points as well such as through the WPTavern forum and by interacting with me on Twitter. The bonus point amount will be announced along with the question. Only the first person to get the correct answer will receive the bonus point amount.

What’s At Stake:
So what are you playing for? My plan is that by the end of this year which is when the points will be tallied, I’ll have a nice basket of prizes for the winners to choose from. Whomever has the most points will be able to choose their prize, second place will then choose their prize, etc until prizes run out. Depending on the amount of prizes I can gather will determine the maximum amount of winners at the end of the year. But if you’re in the top 5, you’ll have a great shot at getting a prize.
