14 Things To Consider When Choosing A Webhost For Your WordPress Powered Site

…only businesses which pay dues are eligible for an A+ rating…

That is a bit biased, they will also remove negative reviews for companies that are paying members. The BBB tries to look like an official government organization, when in fact they’re a private entity.

That is why I think they’re a scam.

BBB is a scam. If you pay for their “service”, they remove negative reviews.

Who’s Right? Network Solutions Or Matt

@donnacha | WordSkill – point #2 is absolutely spot on. my experience in working with large providers, they *always* shift the blame to a 3rd party. when you prove to them that the 3rd party isn’t at fault, they’ll actually look into the problem (or shift blame to another 3rd party).

@Viper007Bond – with permissions like that my config throws a 500 ;)

Why I Use VBulletin

i really really really dislike what vB did with their new licensing scheme. i had to pay $190 for vaporware, rather than the normal $70 renewal. :\

i have a couple phorum installs that seem to work well. i’ll likely be using that more in the future.

Should WordPress Change The Blog Nomenclature Within The Backend?

You’re free to change this on your installs with a custom translation. I recently had to change “Posts” to “Bikes” to keep from confusing a client, works quite well.

15 Useful Hacks From WPBeginner

We used a little more advanced version of #4 for the header/sidebar images on Reylenn.com recently.

The main header/sidebar images are randomized from a single list of images. Some pages need a specific set of images (currently only their projects).

You can also click the sidebar images for fun and profit.

Approve, Delete, Spam – How Do You Treat Specific Comments?

@Dan Cole -

My comment was sarcasm based on all the recent junk/spam that has been being posted to some of the sites I support. They follow the same basic formula as my poor comment.
