Installing mu locally

Hi guys, I've managed it before but I'm having a bit of a nightmare trying to install mu locally at the minute

I'm trying to use xampp - anyone got any tips, it's doing my head in!

it's ok! I managed it...it was actually a problem with vista/xampp comapability but it's all fixed now

The problem you get if your a vista user is to do with not being able to start the apache and mysql modules from the xampp control panel. it's fixed by disanling the user account control (UAC) in windows - details on how to do that can be found here: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/faq-...ows.html#vista
