There are some Widgets UI problems with 2.8.4. I cant drag widgets to/from the Inactive Widgets area with FF 3.5.2

    Edit: I`m on 2.9rare not 2.8.4

Hmm, so it might not be just me, or something I've screwed up?

    Should I submit a bugreport?

That's odd, I'm using FF 3.5.2 and I've never had any problems with the Widgets UI in WP 2.8.4 or WP 2.9 rare, however, I'm using Fedora Linux.

I'm using FF 3.0.0.13 (I think) under Kubuntu 8.04, and IE 7.0 under WinXP SP2. I get the same behavior (which leads me to believe that it's something with WP - either core, or something that I've somehow kludged up).

I just finished writing two custom widgets and found similar issues with the options panel. It was all me

It was a typo in one and a incorrect variable in the other. I get a bit dyslexic when I code, I especially found the one instance of $isntance was really not being accepted all too well.

Were you able to save options at all?

With mine, the strangest part is that, once the form defaults get blanked out, I can re-enter values, save the widget, and the new entries are saved. In other words, it works perfectly, except for retaining the default values upon instantiation.
