    Icon10 [SOLVED]No More Visual Editor [WP 3.1 and 3.2]

    Hi folks,
I'vo got a real wired problem that drives me crazy, totally! Let me explain what happened:

Everything was working fine, I was adding content to my blog, editing it with the visual editor enhanced by the TinyMCE plugin, and time by time adding some code line inside the HTML editor. Then one day, with no apparent reasons, my visual editor has stopped working leaving me with the simply HTML one...

So I've started to google around and found several threads on wordpress.org about this issue, I've tryed every step the adviced but without meet any solutions... So I thought to pop in here and ask you what do you think of this problem, but before answer let's see which steps I've done:

    • deactivated all plugins,
    • renamed plugins forlder,
    • spent alf hour activating/deactivatin visual editor in my profile,
    • automatically re-installed WP,
    • manually installed WP to nightly version.

Those steps brought me to use partially the visual editor, I am saying partially because for all the browser with a different web engine from Gecko (aka Firefox) the javascript does not look to work and is not giving me the chance to use any js feature (either open the menu inside Post section).

Talking about wired things, on the new Flock, Based on Chrome engine, the javascript looks disabled for the option sidebar but if I am editing an existing post, I can use the visual editor< instead if I want to create a brand new post, I do not have any editor, either the HTML one!

So I went back to my Firefox and start checkng with Firebug if there was any warning or errors, and actually there wasn't any error but I found out that two files of the admin panel are called twice!

Now I am asking for your help. Could be this the problem? If so, how can I fix it, where should modify and what?

Just for the records, I am using TinyMCE Advanced to enhance my visual editor, shall I use something different?

    Thank for your future advices!!!

    All the best guys!

Shot in the dark, but: does your Visual Editor work if you deactivate the TinyMCE Advanced Plugin?

or did you upgrade to the latest and greatest TinyMCE (3.3.9)? The previous version didn't like 3.1 IIRC.

    @chipbennett: no my visual editor wasn't working either when I moved the plugins folder;
@Ipstenu: currently I have the version 3.3.9 running on my blog.

It's been wired actually, but after upgrading to the 3.2 everything get back to normal, at least for now...

    Thenks for the support!

PS: Shall I change title right?
