    was just going to post that link, but Jeff beat me to it.

    Custom fields are actually pretty simple to use. Just run through things with the client for a minute or two, let them test it out and they should be good to go after that.

    hope it's ok to revive this thread?

    this functionality is available in plugins such as "magic fields", if only I could extract just the file upload code from there, it would be great.

    I also found this post, but I haven't tested it yet.
