Portfolio Theme Using Custom Post Types

I've been working on a portfolio theme that uses custom post types. I'm hoping to submit it to the repository when I finish and just need to clear up the last couple bugs.

The theme is HTML5 and is based on Ian Stewart's Toolbox.

I used Jake Goldman's plugin as a drop-in to enable post type functionality:http://www.cmurrayconsulting.com/sof...type-archives/

The remaining issues I see are:

1) I'm not sure if I included Jake's plugin properly. Should there be a check to see if it's already installed? How would I do that?

2) When the plugin is being used, the classes aren't applying to the page nav items correctly. Also, there's no "current-page" class when you're on the "Portfolio" item.

3) I can't get the title to work correctly on the portfolio page.
