I usually tweet about threads when I ask questions here. Could use one of those twitter buttons somewhere to skip dancing with URL and stuff every time.

I had that Twitter stuff for each forum thread before the slow downs occurred. In an effort to minimize third party services, I removed the Digg and Tweet links to see if it improved the loading time of the forum. I think the forum and the site have been loading pretty good as of late so I might readd those tools to the forum.
However, I find it much easier to just copy the link to the forum and use my Twitter clients built in URL shortener to handle tweets.

Tweetdeck will sync with your bit.ly account. :)
Jeff, I;d like to see the tweet links come back anyway. Don;t see much the need for Digg ones. Did any threads ever get dug?

Ok, I'll once again try to add a twitter button to the forum. Maybe one that works better the previous implementation.
One of the reasons why I don't like TweetThis links is because you have to pass your Twitter Username and Password through them in most cases for the Tweet to come from you and go out in the open. I'd rather not do that and just manually copy the thread or post link, shorten it and put it out onto Twitter.
@Jeffro
Ehm, actually posting to Twitter might be overkill. Redirecting to Twitter with shortened URL will be quite enough and won't need login.
See how I did it at Appnews for example. Hm, actually no link shortening there, but URLs aren't long either.
Hmmm. It shoudl just redirect you to twitter though, and if you're logged in there, it gets pasted in.One of the reasons why I don't like TweetThis links is because you have to pass your Twitter Username and Password through them in most cases for the Tweet to come from you and go out in the open.
