Default Have you tried using CloudFlare

Is anyone here using CloudFlare? I'm reading some interesting things about it over on Quora but I'm concerned about any potential risks. Let me know what you think.

    Hi,

I believe we've also talked on Twitter and Facebook, but I'll include some additional information here.

WordPress users should install our WordPress plugin to get original visitor IP at the comments' level. The plugin also has a spam reporting and database optimization feature built in.

I would recommend familiarizing yourself with some frequently used CloudFlare settings and features. If you make changes to static files on your site, then we would recommend going to Development Mode first to bypass our cache. If you would like to know what we cache, you can find the content CloudFlare caches in the link.

We have a large number of WordPress users using CloudFlare & you shouldn't have any issues at all. If you do, please let us know so we can take a look at the problem.

Thanks so much. From talking to you and reading some reviews CloudFlare sounds like a great tool. Keep up the good work and I plan to check it out soon.

    I'm confused by CloudFlare.

I originally thought it was just a generic CDN, but it appears to be something different.

Is this perhaps a system for serving websites via caching?

From what I can tell from reading reviews, it is a CDN for an entire site, rather than just for static files. Awesome!

Any ideas if it would work with a domain mapped multi-site install? $5 per site seems fairly reasonable to me for something that could potentially save me a lot more than that by saving me having to upgrade to a bigger server.

    Damon,
I'm testing some sites with Google's Page Speed Online tool and many of them have somewhat average scores. How can CloudFlare help improve my score - or will it?

Another tool I looked is http://whichloadsfaster.com/ - any thoughts on comparisons of CloudFlare enabled sites against others?

    Thanks.
