Under Tools -> Import there's one there that will grab any RSS feed and import the posts it finds in the feed. usually the last 10 or 20, depending.

Down side of that is you'd have to go back to the original site, then delete the ones you just imported so you have 20 more in the feed to get.

I reckon it's still easiest to work with an Excel file. One problem I had with my Cutenews to WordPress exporting was that I used one of the 'plugins' that essentially acts like the "More Fields" plugin on WordPress (use of Custom fields)

There are quite a few resources for CSV imports to WordPress, and I would be happy to send you the file that worked for me (at the time - multiple authors didn't work but there only seems to be one author on your fansite) although it might only be applicable to an earlier WordPress version. Or we could go through it together if it's easier.

p/s: I'm hoping Aston Villa do ok even though I'm an Arsenal fan ;) Simply because I liked Martin O'Neill's commentary on MotD.

Ouch, looks like CuteNews forked about this time last year and was picked up by this guy.
