Default New WordPress phpBB Bridge Plugin needs beta testers

We are in the final stages of developing a new WordPress phpBB Bridge Plugin and need some beta testers.

Once activated/configured the plugin will bridge together WordPress accounts with phpBB accounts. This allows your users to register on your WordPress site and automatically be registered/logged into the phpBB forum. If you have existing phpBB members, they can link their two accounts by logging into phpBB from within WordPress once.

The plugin has been tested to work on WordPress 2.7.x and phpBB 3.0.x.

If you want to help test this out please reply and I'll send over the beta as soon as it's ready!

This plugin was inspired by a post I created in the Tavern back in January: WordPress phpBB bridge

I'll beta test to if you don't mind it being tested on a locally hosted site.

    Good luck with this Brad.

It would be particularly good if you included a way for the avatars used in phpBB to be gravatars by default, providing visual continuity between a particular member's Wordpress comments and forum posts.

For instance, this installation of vBulletin knows my email address but no avatar appears above my post, a lost opportunity to display a gravatar.

It would also be very good is searches made either within the WordPress or the forum sections returned results from content in both sections - no doubt a big technical challenge but it would represent a true integration and be incredibly useful.

I agree, that would be a particularly cool feature.

I don't allow registration on my site and I don't use phpBB but I too would be willing to set up local installs for testing purposes.
