how to sell photos?!

Hello everybody,
I'm working for a photographer who wants to sell his photos on his self hosted WordPress site. The problem is that I didn't find a clean way of selling photographs using our beloved WP..
The easiest way I found is to use NextGen gallery to show images, then add the "WP Simple Paypal Shopping Cart" plugin and use a custom NGG template to display the cart options under every photo.. not exactly straightforward, uh..

I'm thinking about writing a plugin that extends/replaces the standard WP gallery shortcode, adding all the cart options and paypal functionality that are needed, but wanted to ask, do you think this approach is correct or I am somehow reinventing the wheel??

Do you know some plugin that's aimed at photographers to let them sell photos online?

Hi Jeffro,
shopp is one of the various plugins I've looked at, but I didn't try it.. The thing that bothers me of all these plugins, is that they're aimed at usual e-commerce sites while I need something that could play well on a photographer's site..

I don't know, maybe I'm looking at the problem from a wrong perspective..

I only suggested Shopp because I know they support digital downloads as products that can be purchased. I was thinking that the photos would be the digital product that can be purchased. But, Shopp is definitely not tailored to Photographers only.

Hi Jeffro, I didn't make it clear enough on my first post, the plugin I need is not for selling digital photos, but to purchase them phisically, I mean you buy them on the site and then they'll be shipped to you at home.. The problem is, I need a gallery tho show the photos, with the various cart options integrated..

But in WordPress fashion. If that's the case, can't say I've come across a plugin that specifically does that.
