Best SEO plugin?
what do you think the best one is?

WordPress SEO by Joast de Valk

Couldn't agree more, but all in one is still good too.

The best one is none, IMO. SEO plugins do nothing that you can't easily do yourself more directly and faster.

The SEO plug-in by Joost is great however, like most, it doesn't integrate too well with all aspects of WordPress. Right now it works fine on single blog installations (perhaps Networking) but it doesn't play too nice with BuddyPress. It'd be just as easy to do pretty much the exact same thing editing the templates and inserting meta data for each post/page.
For someone looking for something quick, plug-in's work great, but if you're after complete customization, Otto is correct in saying it'd be just as easy to do it yourself.

Well, all the rage used to be the All In One SEO plugin by Michael Torbert but after he decided to go to a pro version I haven't seen it recommended much by many people. Instead, the Yoast SEO Plugin seems to be the rage now adays.
With that said, I don't use any SEO plugins. I hope the theme I use has some SEO built in but other than that, it's pretty permalinks and just the way I write while providing 3-5 tags relevant to the story as keywords.
