wp-ecommerce products per event filtered by category

Hi All,

I want to be able to set up a site that has products that are associated with an event and have the ability to filter products by category.

Would this be possible by using two categories? If i did this would there be a way to show the products for the selected event byt stilll filter by category?

As an example i want to have a page / post per event then use the cart to show which wine is being sold for that event and allow the user to filter by red wine, white wine etc
is there a way to do this?

If the events is just a category, then what you are actually wanting to do is to display either just one category, or products which are in both categories. In which case yes, you can do that with WP e-Commerce. You would need to much around a little with your product loop to get it working though.

Thanks for the info i think i may try and use some jQuery to filter them.
Does anyone know how to get the category name on the single products page?

I wouldn't do that myself as it would require loading all of the products onto each page even though they aren't needed.

what i was proposing was for the user to add the products one by one on the page which will be the event then the category can be used to filter it.
