Does anyone know of a plugin that removes all functionality from the Media Manager, apart from uploading and listing images?

I don't use the media management of WordPress myself but I've got someone who needs to be able to upload images to an /images directory, and wants to be able to see what images are there and select from them for inserting when anyone writes a post. They don't want WordPress creating thumbnails or manipulating images in any way.

Is there a plugin for this already?
