    Default WordPress - Database backups

Looking for the pros and cons of the WordPress database plugin that you use or have used.

I'm leaning towards Backup Buddy (iThemes), lots of features and not to bad on pricing.

BackupBuddy is the best I've used by far. WP DB Backup is pretty good too, but BackupBuddy is definitely a step up in functionality as it can also handle backing up to S3 and will backup static files for you too if you like.

@Keith70 Scott Ellis had a good writeup of Backup Buddy, where he explained the features that made it worth his while. My favorite is the automated backup to Amazon S3. Here's the link to his post --> http://www.vsellis.com/reviews/painl...-backup-buddy/

Matt - Thanks for linking out to the write up on BackupBuddy. I'd absolutely recommend it. Been a dream come true for backups and site migration.

Not that you might not have discerned that from my post but I'm definitely a fan. It's one of the only plugins (for backups and related) that has worked consistently for me and as expected.

I've been using BackupBuddy since it's release and not once have I had to go look for support. It works well for me out of the box. I've set it up to perform daily database backups with full backups every two weeks or so. The email notification lets me know that the backup was successful and since the database backups don't take up too much space, it's not like I have to be worried about using up all the space on my webhost account. So far, definitely a good investment for me. It doesn't have some of the sweet features of VaultPress but then again, it's much easier on your pocket book.
