davecoveney is right. It's the exact same thing whether you do it via phpMyAdmin or via this new repair thingy. All you're doing is sending a command to the database. It's mySQL that does the actual work.

I am laughing at myself now, just so you know.
I do like using phpmyadmin because I can SEE the tables, and I can double check everything. plus it will come back with error messages.
