    davecoveney is right. It's the exact same thing whether you do it via phpMyAdmin or via this new repair thingy. All you're doing is sending a command to the database. It's mySQL that does the actual work.

    I am laughing at myself now, just so you know.

    I do like using phpmyadmin because I can SEE the tables, and I can double check everything. plus it will come back with error messages.

    Looking over the script it looks like it does return error messages. That said, I'll continue to do it manually.
