    However, regardless of what the classes are called, the point I was really trying to make is that its a mistake to think that selectors used in the Kubrick or Classic themes are used by all themes.
    I really should write down this set of theme "standards" that I've compiled from examining themes and the WP core and how things are expected to work. While it's true that a theme can do anything, there's some things that a theme should do in order to maintain compatibility.

    Again, I refer to the argument of removing commonplace pieces from the realm of the theme and into the core.

    I suspect that is related to the original method of aligning things in WordPress being to use the depreciated "align" attribute instead of a class. Plus it's probably more likely that a generic class such as "right" would be used elsewhere in a theme (although .alignright could also be coincidentally used too, but is probably less likely).

    .align-right requires any extra character.

    I'm just stoked we don't need to use the align attribute anymore! That used to really tick me off.
