    Default WordPress book review

    Hi All

I have recently been sent a WordPress book to review, which I have now done. Since it contained very beginner friendly stuff I have decided to run a little competition to give it to someone else - and would love any help you can give to blog/ tweet/ stumble the post so that I actually get some entrants to give it to :)

You can read the review here - http://www.binarymoon.co.uk/2009/08/...and-give-away/

Thanks ever so much for any help you can offer

I've put out the link on Twitter. I too think it was a mistake to put a version number on the cover. That will really hurt the books sales in the long run. In fact, we are at 2.8.4 so it might appear to people to already be out of date even though it's probably not.

    With all due respect

    WordPress 2.7 Complete

I bet we will have 2.9.3 by the end of the year.

You know why Lorelle's book is way better than WP2.7C? (Either than the fact it's a Lorelle VanFossen book).......her book is about blogging.

6 versions after 2.7 have come out.

How many 2.8.x/2.9.x will come out by the end of the year?

    Andrea - thanks :)

Miroslav - I did mention that in the review :) A lot of the info in the book is aimed at the beginner and basic things like making a blog post and changing your theme don't change a huge amount so I would guess that even if we move on to WP 2.9.X by the end of the year then 90% of the book will still be relevant... unless they go and redesign again.
