See, I have FF 3 in linux and pngs don't show up, so I miss half of what's in the Digg bar. And this it's annoying. the X to get rid of it is literally white on a light grey background. took me ages to find it.

Have you intentionally turned off PNGs?

I don't recall PNGs being disabled by default in Linux. Maybe you have a different distro.

Yep, different distro. :) I think it's related to the 64-bit issue which also prevents Flash from running.

(why yes, I *do* plan on switching distros at some point... time and all... plus choosing from about 10 we have kicking around... :D )

Speaking of the Digg bar, have you seen this new plugin? The optional "annoy" feature is hillarious.

I heard recently that Digg caved to the pressure and now the Diggbar only shows up for those that are registered and logged in to Digg.com. That's good. Although I sure notice an awful lot of links on Twitter point me to cool stories that are incased with that darn diggbar.

I like reddit and slashdot. Digg was working well until the bloggers decided to start using it as a way to promote themselves and working the system.
