Icon14 Help Me Interview Alex King

Recently I wrote about the WordPress HelpCenter by Alex King and I wondered how the project was coming along. However, I'm more interested in any data they have regarding which areas of support they provide the most such as upgrades, security patches, etc. Alex has gotten back with me via email and is willing to answer any questions I might have but with the project a few months in, I thought I'd ask you all if you have any questions for Alex regarding the helpcenter?

I'd be happy to know more about his costumers: their profile, their most common questions, their opinions about the service.

    - If he could change one thing in WordPress to make his job easier, or at least to solve users's issues, what would it be?

These are the two main things that come to my mind. I may come back later for more :)

Ask him if he knows just how much he looks like Steve Carrell on the '40yr Old Virgin' poster:

Seriously though - I'd like to know which countries the services serves. Is it purely USA? Or do they get work from overseas.

    :)

Yeah, I'm interested in the general knowledge level of people who use the service.

Also - on that. Just how popular IS Carrignton in number of downloads and sites that they support.

Jeff actually asked for questions about the WordPress Help Center, but if we're asking Carrington questions ... "Do you have any examples of when the templating system within Carrington would be useful?"

I don't understand Carrington at all and would dearly love to see an example of when it would be an advantage to use it over a "traditional" framework like Hybrid.

Yeah I know. My question was more tongue-in-cheek than anything else. But hey, if you're able to sneak it in there Jeff...

    Couple questions:

    1. On average how many calls a day does the help center receive?
    2. Do you charge before or after a call?
    3. Is the average call a quick fix or more involved?

How are you running the call center? What software?
How many are working at the call center?
The lord of every land, rising for them,
The Aton of the day, great of majesty.

    Great Hymn of the Aton
