That restaurant is awesome. I was recommending that one as well during the podcast chat on show 56. A buddy and I ate there while in Chicago one visit. We could barely walk afterwards. I think we ate an entire cow, pig and lamb. ;-)

Man Carl, that place looks really good but not sure if my wallet would let me spend 50$ on dinner for one lol. My stomach might win me over if I consider it a business expense LOL.

I believe the Web Dev Studios Team and I are staying in the same hotel you're at. Maybe we'll run into each other :P

As Brad said, Fogo de Chao is awesome. The food is amazing, all types of perfectly wood fire grilled meats. All you can eat. It's a carnivores dream and a vegans nightmare. The only thing that matches the quality of the meat is the service. Unbelievable. I would literally take a sip of my water and someone would be right there to top it off. I don't think my glass ever got half full.

I am basing this on my experiences at other Fogo de Chao locations but i'm sure the Chicago location is just as top notch. It certainly isn't an every week type of place to go eat, but they don't have one in our area so when we travel somewhere that does it is always a "must eat" location for us.

    I highly recommend it.

Yea, I think we are all staying at the same place so i'm sure we will bump into each other. I'm sure something will be going on Saturday after the conference as well.

Hey gang - just to fill you in... Liz Strauss and I are planning on announcing an official meetup on Saturday night at Morton's Steakhouse for dinner and drinks afterwards. This will be the official event, but others can be planned if folks want to go elsewhere. More info when we can confirm them accommodating a lot of us! :-)

Brad, right now there's a 50-50 chance I can make it (depends on if I get paid in time). When are you coming in to downtown Chi-town?

I hit O'Hare at 5:35 PM Chi-town time, straight to the hotel from there. Then we are ready to eat some pie!....err pizza I think you call it?

My mom's been admitted to the ICU wing at an area hospital for a whole slew of problems. I don't know if I'll be able to make it tomorrow night, but I will be there on Saturday and Sunday (assuming the worst doesn't happen).

Sorry to hear that Dan. Hope it's not as bad as it seems. By the way, if you're going to WordCamp Chicago, better bring a hoody or something for the cool evenings:
