I find the media box interesting:

Yeah. This was taking from the Crazyhorse branch cept it was removed prior to 2.7 release. It's coming back with more features, but that's something to note on the Embed part. At least a filter or action so scripts code add code to the media box. :)

Hmm, I wonder if the media management overhaul will simply integrate Vipers video quicktags. Although his embedding methods are tied into the TinyMCE editor rather than being part of the core.

It reminds me a bit of MovableType. I do like the inclusion of the Media box in the post page.
