Are core contributions accepted even though you release non-GPL stuff?
Just curious.

So out of curiosity, after 9 pages of discussion, what has been accomplished? What's changed?
Not much has changed, except that someone decided to revive an almost-three-week-dormant thread, to throw around some ironic, invective rhetoric.
Perhaps you should ask that person why he did so, since the rest of us who had participated in the original topic had let that topic run its course, and moved on to other things.

Well, I'll leave the thread open to see if anyone else has anything to say regarding specifically, the WordCamps guidelines. If it continues down the path of discussing the GPL license specifically, then we'll have to close it for a new thread.
Jeffro, just out of curiosity am I allowed to go off on Otto or Kenny and call them names such as... oh I don't know brown-nosing wastes of space? Or is their behavior tolerated simply because they support the expansive interpretation of the GPL?
This might be a topic for another thread but I was just wondering what the rules are and if the double standard is actually put into print anywhere.
Edit: I should probably point out that I'm "having a bit of fun" in much the same way Kenny was (I know he had me laughing so hard I was gasping for air).

Well, it's getting close to the point where I'm going to abolish all discussions of GPL on the forum. Nothing good ever comes from them. Just arguments, interpretations, and a merry go round that does not stop. And of course, occasionally people getting so upset that some personal insults start flying.
What Wraith Kenny said is not the type of behaviour that this forum will support. At the end of the day though, he solved the problem by putting Chip on ignore and now, that's the end of the story.
It doesn't help that the forum is now getting the reputation of GPL fight heaven.
