Hi everyone!

I have been following the WP hackers for quite some time now, and always enjoy some of the conversations that take part over there.

However I have never managed to see any of my replies posted there: I have subscribed through the normal process, and lately through the related Google group, but when I send an email to wp-hackers@lists.automattic.com , I never get any reply, and the thread does not get published on the mailing list.

Am I considered as spammer? Is the list moderated? Does anybody know?

You're not replying to threads specifically through the google group are you? I know that doesn't work.

To talk on any of the lists, you have to do this:

1. Subscribe here: http://lists.automattic.com/mailman/listinfo/ . It's an email list, not a group or forum. It'll be delivered to your email. If you don't like high volumes of email, then I'd get a gmail account and subscribe it there. GMail accounts are worth it for the threading alone, actually.

2. When you email the list, your "from" email must be the same as the one subscribed to the list. If you don't receive the list, then you can't send to the list.

I think I was doing wrong: I was indeed replying from the Google group to the threads, first mistake.

And I manage different email accounts through one Google apps account, so I am not sure that when I was sending an email to wp-hackers [at] lists.automattic.com , I was using the email address I actually used for subscribing.

I am going to check that!
