Default Hi from a MU user

Thought I'd just bust in with a "Hello"

Run a WPMU community and have been 'light developing' with MU for about a year. Work as part of a team with some more hardcore coders and we've several plugins we're looking to release in the near future...hopefully :)

Welcome Sam. Hope you'll turn the WordPress MU section of the forum into a more lively place. Are you looking forward to the code merge between WordPress and MU?

Funny thing is, I think you do - at least through twitter anyways...@westhamprocess

(yes, I am a West Ham fan/blogger - please don't hold it against me!)

As for the mergge, I am looking forward to it yeh. At first I was a little apprehensive but as I think about it more, it can only be a good thing. There are still some lingering concerns and I just hope that the merge is so smooth that those worries are calmed :)

Okay, yeah that twitter ID looks familiar. :D

I expect the merge to be generally smooth with maybe a couple bumps that will sort themselves out. The idea is that anyone currently on WPMU will be able to upgrade to WP 3.0 and it just.. works. Anyone on single WP will be able to upgrade normally, change one or two settings and then have multiple blogs.

Your best bet is when 2.9 is out the door, keep an eye on the dev blogs and trac for discussions. They'll want a ton of input from current MU users.
