Hi Gang,

My name is Pat and I am from Lincoln Park, Michigan. I have been a blogger since 2006. I started out using wordpress.com, moved to blogger for a while and then got my own hosting.

I blog about politics. I started out on one side, and end up somewhat on the other.

I just started a new business; and I am still working on the kinks and bugs out of that. I need a little more capital to make it work really well. But that will come with time -- I hope.

Anyhow, this looks like a neat place to hang out and I thank Jeff for the approval.

Yeah, I've been blogging since 2006. Which in internet terms is a small eternity anymore. I finally closed my original blog which was Political Byline on October 31, 2011. It's purpose had been fulfilled. The Iraq was finally over. So, I started a new Blog called Thoughts and Rantings. Which is just my opinion on News, Politics and Culture. I won't get into where I stand politically; I don't want to start I fight! I just got here.

As for working for myself, oh you have no idea..... I'll give you a perfect example of that; last night. I finally decided to reinstall WP on my business domain, after having to leave a server; because the running it was an idiot and screwed his own configuration up and I would have been down for like 5 hours! So, I bolted and finally just bought the hosting, and saved a bunch of cash too. (The gave me like a free month, after that It would have been $120.00 a year for reseller) Anyhow, I bought the hosting from HostMist (reseller) for $80 and some change, better customer support, reliable servers, ect... Now that's the good part.

Here's the BAD PART!

I went to my plug ins page; downloaded wp e-commerce; and I happily installed it and configured it out. It looked beautiful; then it downs on me.... "Um, how am I going to re-bill monthly or annually?" GAAAAAH! That's only available in the PRO version! I was swearing like a German Sailor at that point:

"Gott verdammt noch mal verdammtes Arschloch geldgierigen Schweine!"

(Run that through google translate, if you wanna know what I said, German to English...)

Anyhow, So...... I had to uninstall that Bleepity bleeping plugin and today, I will have to resetup all those farking pages MANUALLY, with proper PayPal coding.

So, yeah, it can be a pain...
