    Default Hello WP Tavern!

    Hey everyone!

Great to finally join you all in the tavern for a cold brew :)

First a small bit of background about me. I'm Ed from themesforge.com.

I've been using WordPress on and off for years - probably since the very early initial releases on a personal level and more recently for freelance consulting with clients.

I previously have worked with lots of other open source CMS such as Joomla, Drupal, PostNuke and all the way back to php-nuke back in the day. Nothing matches WordPress in terms of each of use and wonderful ecosystem of plugins, themes and tutorials that have built up around the project.

In the last few months I launched themesforge.com as a new WordPress Themes News blog and hope to become much more active in the community and hopefully help folks get the most out of WordPress.

Anyway, that's all for now - see you all at the bar!
    Ed

Welcome to the forum Ed. Boy, php-nuke. That brings back some memories. Personally, I enjoyed PostNuke better than php-nuke. It was my first introduction to modules, blocks, and plugins.

ahh yes good 'ol PostNuke - it served me well back in the day - shamed it fizzled out. PHP-Nuke was a bit of a security nightmare too - can't believe it's still popular in certain circles. They've clearly not seen the WordPress light yet.
