    Freshbooks is great and it also offers a free version.

    I have not paid for anything yet. Freshbooks is my favorite, though.

    make sure you check out Invoice Machine. I've used it for 6+ months and love it. paypal integration. basecamp integration. ect. theres a free plan that allows three invoices to be sent and the smallest account is 12 per month so if you send three invoices, odds are you've made enough money to spend the $12 on it :)

    WP invoice is never updated .. I use the fork called Web Invoice. Works great with paypal payflow, moneybookers.. does recurring with authorize arb .. Just a great solution!! I manage the rest of the business in QB, but for simple invoicing, it's priceless.
