You could add a link to an affiliate page into your signature on here Jeffro; no one would mind in your case I'm sure. It would serve as a reminder to all of us who read the forums (particularly those like me who read a lot more than post) that it's a helpful way for you to finance yourself through WordPress.

Congratulations though, I hadn't heard about this before so this is my first chance to say that

Jeff is my community news curator and does a great job of it. I'm sure there are others out there who contribute to the community in big ways but Jeff seems to be the one doing it without an actual business model behind it all which makes his time and effort seem all that much more generous.

Some intersection between what Jeff does with this site and the podcast, and what is done on WordPress.tv seems most logical to me. I often think there is a way for Jeff to take the podcast to the next level and start being the Leo Laporte of the WordPress community. Takes some investment to get the sort of gear, bandwidth, and hosting to run something like that though.

Well, I haven't been active in the forums, but I really enjoy the podcast and listen to it every week. Thanks for all you do!

I dont really think you need to spread affiliate links through out your posts. I think it would just be better if you made a long list of all your affiliate links.

I would be happy to buy through you :)

    Doesn't Leo Laporte use WordPress?

I wonder if he would be interested in a collaboration with Jeff, to bring WordPress Weekly into the TWIT network?

    Advantages? Disadvantages?

Yeah that would be sort of cool. I love FLOSS weekly. WordPress Weekly is halfway there with the Weekly name and all ;).

lol, I'm pretty sure Leo Laporte has moved most of his sites to SquareSpace although I think the http://www.twit.tv/ website is still using Drupal.

Might be a bit too niche for Leo. Just about anything he does would be successful but I get the feeling he goes for bigger audiences most of the time.

My pipe dream goes the other way - Jeff expanding out to a series of different podcasts on different elements of the WordPress ecosystem.

Eg, one focused on super newbie tips, one focused on dev stuff, one that stays basically the same as current doing general news and whatnot, one that is always an interview, and so on.

Just throwing it out there, not expecting it to stick

I have about 30 RSS feeds on my Google Reader account relating to WordPress.
When I skim through the 300+ new posts on many WP and non-WP related sites I actually go to WPT when I do my WordPress news update. If no blog post is posted then I check the forums hoping to see a forum thread made by Andrea on how I am the most amazing Canadian WordPresser.........still waiting Andrea, I know you are reading this.

Anyways, Jeff has replied on Twitter many questions I have asked on Twitter and if I paid you a penny for every question.....I'd have a Visa bill for a billion trillion dollars.

I am hoping you come to WordCamp Toronto 2010 if not then FITC Toronto 2010 or any other "geek" event in Toronto, I'll buy you a beer at the local Tavern. However you can't stay at my place, my huskeys are so picky. They think it's THEIR place.

I go and come back to many WP sites, I go and don't ever go back to many WP sites but WPT is one I tend to come on a semi-daily basis

WHERE IS MY WPTAVERN DOT KOM T-SHIRT?
