*scratches head* Isn't that what was said in hte WCSF talk that Lorelle got a little confused over?

They announced the merge, then some other stuff, and then that wp.org was going to run WPMU (and presumably BP)

Hey Jeffro, pretty cool post.

BuddyPress has definitely organized a cool development process and yes, it would be great if some of the features were adopted by WordPress.org developers. Yes, it might be a testing platform, after all, they're both Automattic projects, right? Anyway, I like the current WordPress.org development process, but I think they're not giving us developers enough time for the versions switches. Not sure about the 2.6 to 2.7 switch, but 2.7 to 2.8 took 4 days. That's not enough for > 5k plugins. BuddyPress is kinda early at its development stage, so the switches shouldn't make much issues, but I'm sure it will gain popularity OR perhaps become part of the standalone WordPress, which by that time will be powered by WordPress MU. Right?

Cheers,
K.
